Pam Kravetz: I Think My Uncle Gershun Was a Golem–Kravetz’s (Cincinnati, OH) selective memories, embellished stories, and make believe musings serve as inspiration for her artwork. In her multimedia installations, the viewer becomes immersed in the art that explodes with color and texture. Puppets, toys, and large-than-life-sized interactive art, tell a narrative of revealing stories about the artist’s life. In her eccentric and wildly wonderful lineage, she finds the joy in the resistance, resilience and perseverance of being Jewish. (East Gallery)
