Gilboa Memorial Day Celebration

Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 10:30am to 5:00pm

The day will start with a church service at the Gilboa United Methodist Church at 10:30 am. The Harter-Williams Legion will be in charge of the service, with members of the Legion in attendance. The service welcomes all community and non-community visitors to enjoy this impressive service.

A BBQ chicken dinner will be served from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the church social room. The dinner will be dine in or carry out. Cost is $11.00 per meal.

Tickets can be obtained from Stan Oren (419-306-1185) or any Legion member or at the door, while supplies last. (There are only 350 meals available, so get your tickets early!)

At 1:00 pm a parade will form and proceed to the historical bridge for a wreath ceremony to remember each war fought, followed by the playing of the Taps. At the conclusion, a closing ceremony will be held at the War Memorial on Main St.

From 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, The 60’s Survivor Band will be in concert on Main St. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the good music! Don’t miss this!

A bounce house will be available for kids fun!

The Knueven Creamery & Market will be open at 11:00 to satisfy the desires of young and old!

Don’t forget your lawn chairs to set and enjoy good music and good fellowship with old friends and neighbors!

Restrooms will be available downtown. As you have noticed, there will be a couple new added attractions to make the day complete.
