Memorial Day Parade and Observance

Memorial Day Parade and Observance will begin at 8:45am at the Huntington Beach Lot on Monday, May 29

American Legion Post 385, with assistance from VVA Chapter 249, has organized a parade and formal observance to honor those who served our country and gave their lives to support our freedom.

Stepping off from the Huntington Beach lot, the parade will march west on Lake Road to Lakeside Cemetery, where a brief ceremony will include morning prayer and recognition of the city founders who served our country. The parade will resume east on Lake to Cahoon Road where they will turn south to end at the Gazebo for a short ceremony to recognize local honorees and community leaders. Events will conclude approximately 11:00am. The community is invited to attend these ceremonies and encouraged to line the parade route along Lake and Cahoon Road; please provide proper respect for these solemn events, as they are in remembrance of those lost while serving our country.

“Immediately following the parade and ceremonies, the Bay Village Foundation will host their annual public ceremony honoring individuals, living or deceased, who have been remembered by friends and family by dedicating and installing a personalized, engraved bronze plaque on the T.
