Panegyri Greek Festival

Panegyri Greek Festival
Friday, Jun 23, 2023 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm
St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church
7000 Winton Road
513-591-0030

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to share the wonderful Greek food and culture in this, the 48th Annual PANEGYRI Greek Festival. Each year, we look forward to welcoming all of Cincinnati into our home. Volunteers have spent many hours planning, cooking and baking to ensure that you enjoy a full Grecian experience.

While you’re here, browse through our Greek-style agora (open-air market) to find that something that you can’t get anywhere else. Learn how to make some of the food you just enjoyed by attending one of our cooking demonstrations. We invite you to visit our Cultural Exhibit centered around three pivotal figures of World History, Pericles, Alexander the Great, and Constantine the Great, and their contribution to our civilization. We are in the process of completing the ceiling iconography inside the church. Unfortunately, with all the scaffolding in the church, it would not be safe to conduct tours.

When we began this festival in 1975, it was a way for us to give back to the local community by sharing our culture and heritage with our neighbors. Loosely translated, Panegyri means “festival for everyone”. This includes singles, couples or families, adults or children. Our festival has something for all ages and is truly a wondrous event. We are proud and excited to have you share your time with our family and hope you have the opportunity to experience the festival to its fullest.

Entertainment:

Did you know the word "kefi" expresses someone's pleasure and satisfaction with life? We wish you "kefi". Let our dancers take you on a musical journey through Greece, featuring dances from both the mainland and the islands. Enjoy the artistry and rhythm of our PANEGYRI Greek Festival Folk Dancers as they perform in full traditional dress.

When our dancers are not performing, feel free to get up, let the bouzouki music overtake you and try out some Greek dances. No need to worry if you're unsure of some of the Greek dance steps, our dancers will be more than happy to help you learn. Join them for free "Learn to Dance Greek" lessons.
