Since 1963, Cincinnati Ballet has been the cornerstone professional ballet company of the region, presenting a bold and adventurous array of classical, full-length ballets and contemporary works, regularly with live orchestral accompaniment. Under the artistic direction of Victoria Morgan, Cincinnati Ballet has become a creative force within the larger dance community, commissioning world premiere works and exploring unique collaborations with artists as diverse as Grammy winning guitarist Peter Frampton and popular, Ohio-based band Over the Rhine. With a mission to inspire hope and joy in our community and beyond through the power and passion of dance, Cincinnati Ballet reaches beyond the stage in programs that allow every person in the region to be part of the continued evolution of dance. To that end, Cincinnati Ballet presents exhilarating performances, extensive education outreach programs and offers top level professional ballet training at Cincinnati Ballet Otto M. Budig Academy.
I go to the academy, and I have learned SO much!
My boyfriend took me to see The Nutcracker last night. WOW. What a show!!! These dancers are so talented. They made our first professional ballet experience a memory to last a lifetime!

My daughter goes to The Cincinnati Ballet Academy, and she loves it! It is pricey (around $450 from Sept-june) but that is actually around the same at just about every dance studio in the city, and you don't get as much. The instruction is the best around, this is my daughters first year and she already knows so much! They have a big spring production at the end of the year (you pay a costume fee with your registration fee) and you get a copy of the production DVD. Well worth the price and the costumes are gorgeous! Please don't listen to that five year old review, The Cincinnati Ballet Academy is worth the money!

All they care about is taking your money. The end of the year performance at the Aronoff was ridiculous for my 6 year old--we had to pay $15 per person (including my 1 year old to sit on my lap!!) and also had to pay $65 to rent a costume that I probably could have found at Meiers for 10 bucks. The Cincinnati ballet doesn't care about teaching ballet--I'm not sure my daughter learned anything in the entire year!
