Cincinnati Young People's Theatre (CYPT) is a project for, of and by teenagers (13 - 19 years old). Started by Tim Perrino in 1982, CYPT has since produced 30 years of exciting summer shows, including: West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Anything Goes, 42nd Street, Children of Eden, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and many more! The summer provides great opportunities to performers and theatre technicians alike. To date, over 1,500 teens have been a part of CYPT.

CYPT is the recipient of the 2001 Post-Corbett Award for Outstanding Arts Organization, plus, the 1987 National Recreation & Parks Arts and Humanities Award and the 1986 Ohio Parks and Recreation Award for Best Student Program.
