About Us:

Fairfield Summer Theatre, a non-profit organization, is committed to producing the highest quality theatre possible, staging at least one major musical each summer and one fundraising concert each winter.  During the summer, professional designers and directors, college performers studying their craft, local actors, volunteers and professional musicians come together to produce a large-scale Broadway musical.  In addition to outstanding performance quality, Fairfield Summer Theatre hopes to provide patrons with the best bang for their buck, by utilizing the latest in lighting, sound and scenic technology.

Fairfield Summer Theatre began in 1998 as the brainchild of founding members Jim and Pat Davis, Daniel Prior, Mindy Reed and Kathleen Sullivan.  Not wanting to see the new, state-of-the-art Fairfield High School Performing Arts Center sit empty all summer, they elicited the sponsorship of Fairfield City Schools and the City of Fairfield.  With the inaugural production of Oliver, Fairfield Summer Theatre was born.
