My son and I joined member ship at splash down for two years. and yes the place needs lots of work, with the pool as well the people who work there sure need trained better to work in public. But there is so little to do in Jackson that I wish someone new would buy it and reopen.

I was very disappointed in this place. I have visited it several times in the past with my family but this last time I went with a camp group of disadvantaged children. The place needs better maintenance. The bathrooms smelled and needed cleaned. The body slide needs repairs. The seams do not line up correctly in some spots so it is actually painful to lay on your back. I hurt my backbone! There were also spots of missing paint or outer coating which burned your skin when you slid over it. If you sat up you could not build up enough momentum and would get stuck causing a "pile up" because other people actually ran into you! There were yellow jackets living in the rails along the steps up to the slides. We were a large group and the manager would not let us have tubes because she said we would take tubes away from other customers. Excuse me but we paid to get in! We were customers! There were over 100 kids with us and a non-profit organization paid for the admission. Splashdown made a lot of money off of us that day!!! The children were very disappointed because they could not go down the red slide which was for tubes only. We also had no tubes to use on the Lazy River. There were over 60 tubes sitting there not being used!!! Some of these children rarely get to do anything fun because they come from very impoverished families or broken homes! It seems that the owners of Splashdown are heartless and greedy! They are so concerned with making a buck that they don't respect their customers and don't want to properly maintain their park. They charge around $ 17.00 for an adult then charge $ 5-7.00 for tube rental! This place is definitely not worth the cost! Save your money and go to the water park in Marietta or to Zoombezi Bay in Columbus. I don't plan to return to Splashdown in the future!

Stayed at one of the cabins $99.00 a night with 2 night min. But the waterpark wasn't included, had to pay 16.95 per person to swim. They should offer a discount since the pool is only open from 10:30 to 5:30. Overpriced when you are staying in a cabin! And the pool should be open way later
