History:

The Beach Waterpark is located in Mason, Ohio, 30 minutes north of Cincinnati off of I-71. As a tropical themed adventure for the whole family, The Beach is situated on 35 acres of rolling wooded terrain that provide lots of shade and lush ambiance. Live palm trees, white ocean sand, rockwork, waterfalls and crashing waves help set the scene and Reggae music and sand volleyball reinforce the tropical island experience.

The Beach has been recognized for its innovative ideas like extending the operating season with a winter event, new family focused pricing, and creative and unique events such as Dive In Movies and Teen Dance Club. This is the reason why The Beach was named the #1 Waterpark in the Nation by Aquatics International Magazine in 2004.

This summer The Beach celebrates 22 Seasons of Fun in the Sun, with more than 49 rides and attractions. The Volcanic Panic - new in 2004 - is the longest flume ride in the park and features a towering plunge of twists and turns including one that is a thrilling 360-degrees. Guests with a need for speed love the Banzai, an 85-foot triple drop slide, The Cliff, a five-story free fall body flume with three seconds of pure air, and Aztec Adventure, the Midwest's only water coaster. The Twilight Zoom offers a thrilling ride through the dark with only twilight starbursts to guide the way. On the Hidden Rapids, riders navigate through white water torrents, tube down rushing river channels and paddle through tidal pools.

Visitors looking for a little relaxation enjoy floating 1,200 feet around the park in inner tubes on the Lazy Miami River and lounging at The Pearl, an oversized spa pool heated to 80 degrees and surrounded by live palm trees, rockwork and cascading waterfalls.

Children can enjoy two water play pools designed just for them. Splash Mountain features two body slides, two pint-size river rapid tube rides and a zero-depth entry play pool. Whimsical ocean creatures, a swinging bridge and a body flume make up the delightful Jolly Mon Shores.

Kahuna Beach Wavepool is the largest wavepool in the Midwest and features authentic crashing waves, rockwork and island waterfalls. In 2005 The Beach used new wave technology to make the waves at Kahuna Beach larger than life.

When it's time to take a break and grab some refreshments, The Beach offers eight restaurants and food stands including Captain Cooks and Kokomo Breeze. Fajita Wraps, Chicago Dogs, Specialty Pizza, Rib Sandwiches, and Dippin Dots are just a few of the summer specialty items on the menus.

The Beach's Season Pass members receive a number of benefits that make a day at the park exceptionally relaxing. Platinum Membership - the premier pass-holder package - offers free parking, free drinks, and bring-a-friend-free passes, as well as exclusive cabana seating with shaded huts and chair-side drink/food service. Platinum Members also are permitted to enter the park 30 minutes before the general public.

Since its opening in 1985, The Beach has remained a privately owned and operated facility with firm roots and a staunch loyalty to its Southern Ohio heritage. Vice President and General Manager Pamela Strickfaden and Assistant General Manager Todd Nahrup joined the company during the park's development period and today represent the company's dedication to ensuring an experience, professional park management team. The Beach's management philosophy can best be described as entrepreneurial. The variety of experience, innovation and creative ideas of each member of the park's management team define its success in providing the unique, high quality fun and entertainment throughout the year.

For 21 seasons, The Beach Waterpark has continued to be one of the premier travel destinations in the Midwest. Whether guests seek thrilling water slides, a relaxing tropical island experience, winter holiday adventures or a Halloween scare, The Beach offers something for every age and interest.
