Mission and Vision
The mission of CATCO, The Contemporary American Theatre Company, is to create a resident professional theatre company that presents contemporary, classic and new work, with an emphasis on American work, for an audience as diverse as our community.
CATCO is positioning itself to become one of the country’s next major regional theatres. The key to this new vision is an investment in the art and the artists and achieving institutional stability. By bringing together the best in local talent with guest artists from New York, broadening the range of productions, and providing ample technical resources, CATCO will invest a new excitement into its productions. At the same time, CATCO is committed to finding the equilibrium between its resources and artistic ambitions, recognizing that concluding each season with a balanced budget and working capital will ensure to long-term viability of the organization.
