First Town Days Festival

927 Al Maloney Midway NW

Forty-one years ago, members of the New Philadelphia Park and Recreation Board along with a few other civic-minded individuals decided that it would be a great idea to stage a city festival in the park for the purpose of raising funds to restore the aging 1928 Hershel-Spillman Carousel.  The festival was such a fun event for all involved and here we are 41 years later, still having fun!!

One of the best fireworks displays around. Good food options but kinda pricy, and you'll average wait time for some venders is well over 15 minutes to to popularity. Biggest downside is parking. Many streets are blocked off and 95% of parking are on front of neighboring homes. If you come plan on walking about 10-15 to and from the festive, handicap parking is very, very limited. Plan on dropping off anyone who would normally need the handicapped space. Overall it's a fun experience.

Prices of tickets great value. Watch the inflatables, tho. Expensive. Park is clean, rides are well organized, easy to get to. Good luck parking tbough.
