Smith Evergreen has been growing trees for over 65 years. Three generations of the Smith family are involved in the company and work hard every day to make certain our trees represent our family's high standards and exceed our customers' expectations. We take great pride in our trees and in the wide variety of evergreen species we grow.
It all began as a small Christmas tree business back in the 50s started by RP Smith. Eventually, RP was joined in the business by his son, Mike and followed by his second son, Jim. The small operation soon grew to selling over 100,000 Christmas trees each year.
Smith Evergreen began growing its wide variety of evergreen trees when customers recognized quality and started asking for more than just Christmas trees. We currently grow over 20 species of pine, spruce and fir trees. That makes us particularly adept at shipping you a wide variety of trees all in one delivery.
We plant 50,000 - 100,000 evergreen seedlings or transplants each year and currently have over one million trees rooted firmly in the clay soils of verdant, lush Carroll County, Ohio. We also offer a selection of balled and burlapped evergreens that are great for border plantings and commercial installations. In addition to three generations of the Smith family, we employ over 30 people that are all dedicated to growing, caring for, shipping and delivering our quality Smith Evergreen trees to customers all over North America.
